Portrait Practice - Requesting Feedback on Achieving "Likeness"

I've been practicing portrait fundamentals lately, and I feel like I have a good grasp of all the fundamentals (Loomis structure, feature structure/anatomy, proportions, etc.), but I feel like I have trouble achieving "likeness" or recognizability when I study from reference. Can anyone provide feedback in this regard (or in any other aspect of portrait fundamentals if you spot something else I'm missing)? Thanks for any feedback in advance!
