I think the colors on the figure itself are pretty nice. I really like how the yellow changes to orange as well as reflected light on the arms. The shading of the main figure suggests that the sun is actually located above and on the side of the figure, so I would remove it from the painting. In such intense lighting the sky usually becomes darker/more saturated at higher altitudes. I also added few clouds for visual interest and to suggest location of the sun. The water would definitely reflect more white/blueish light in such intense lighting. Since the figure is moving across the water, it would definitely leave a train and cause more waves. I would look up real life references. The further away something is in the landscape the more it is obscured by the molecules in the air. At the same time the coast is also receiving a lot of light - I would go with brighter colors but also more blue in this case. Since water hits the shore, there would be more small waves collecting there resulting in white lines. For her body I would add more reflected light from below. Hope it helps.
