Hello there! Such a lovely illustration! The first thing I would address here is the scale of the characters. Both of them feel a bit too large when compared to the door frame. If you imagine the gentleman standing upright, he would actually be taller than the doorway itself. Because of that, I reduced the scale of both characters and added a bit more space between them. This also gives the illustration a little more breathing room overall. On top of that, I'd recommend adding shadows to the characters to give them better volume. The child also isn't following the same perspective as the rest of the scene. Based on the camera angle, we should be seeing more of the top planes, but the child is currently drawn as if we were looking at them straight on. As for the color contrast, try using warm tones for the lights and cooler tones for the shadows. Doing so will create a much more appealing contrast throughout the image. Hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
