Hey! You've already received some great feedback, so I wanted to illustrate a bit of what others have been talking about. :) Try not to think so much about the contour of the figure and focus more on the flow of the pose. Approaching it this way will help give your poses—and, by extension, your characters—more personality. I'd also recommend looking at gesture drawings used in animation and paying attention to how artists use "I," "C," and "S" curves to communicate movement throughout the body.
