Gesture drawing can be hard the time limit adds pressure sometimes if you think 3 basic volumes head chest and pelivs it will help speed up the process or the flour sack like in animation.

I’m trying to work on figure drawing just 60 seconds. I’ve gotten better but still struggle with trying to do too much detail then just getting the form done quick. When I try to just do stick figures it just turns into a mess of lines. Any suggestions for improving quick figure sketches are welcome. These were about 1/2 done each at 60 sec and then I went back to ‘complete’.

Something feels off; I'm quite spotty with the hands. But I'm also a bit iffy with the feet. The shadow creature behind her has a rather stiff pose in comparison to the front character as well. Your feedback will be appreciated! :)

Character rendering and lighting

Hi, I am struggling to figure out how to shade my character and his clothes especially with the color black that I used for the jacket. I haven't really decided on a light source, but ideally it's coming from the left side of him. Considering the materials as well I wanted it to be a cloth like material for the jacket and regular jeans. I would appreciate any help and input on this thanks.
